Region 2 Conference Early Bird Registration Discount Ends February 16th!

I hope you are as excited as we are about the upcoming conference in Hyattsville/College Park! If you have not registered for the conference yet, register by February 16 for the Early Bird rate.

More information about conference sessions will be announced soon, but we have added 6 Pre-Conference sessions. If you have already registered, make sure to go back and check them out. You can register for the Pre-Conference Workshops through the NACADA Region 2 Site or through this link.  A tentative schedule is posted on the Region 2 Website.

The Hospitality Committee is organizing some amazing activities for attendees Wednesday and Thursday evenings. On Wednesday evening there is an opportunity to participate in Paint Night and Thursday evening they are hosting a St. Patty’s Day Pub Night; due to space limitations both will have a limited participation! Check back to this blog for more information on how to register for these events. They are also working to organize a few group dinners for participants both evenings.

We will be hosting penny wars again this year; so start saving your money to support your state! 

Each state in Region 2 is collecting items to raffle off in their State Basket. We are looking for donations from you for these baskets. Some ideas of items would be: swag from colleges or universities in your state, non-perishable food items that are made in your state, donation of items from your local Government, and any other ideas you may have. If you have something to donate, please email your local State Liaison.

There are a number of volunteer opportunities during the conference.  If you are interested in volunteering at the conference please contact Matthew Le Brasseur (lebrasse@american.edu) or Amma Addo (maddo@gwu.edu).

We’re looking forward to seeing you on March 16th!  We will be sending out a survey to gauge some additional information as we prepare for the conference.
