Recapping the 2017 Maryland Drive-In

On Friday, September 22, region 2 hosted the 2017 Maryland Drive-In at Towson University. The drive-in was a hit with over 100 registrants! Joshua Smith, PhD, past NACADA president and current Dean of the School of Education, Loyola University Maryland, gave the keynote.

The drive-in touched a wide array of institutions and members from across Region 2. Nine institutions were represented in presentations that included topics on orientation, pathways design, technology, programs for at-risk students, first generation students, and advising at a distance. Four different states were represented with thirty one different institutions in attendance!

The event continued with networking at the popular 7 West Bistro, where attendees enjoyed buffalo wings, panko-crusted shrimp, and spinach and artichoke dip. For photos of the fun scroll below!

Congrats to Trish Raysor, academic advisor at Towson University, N. Adaire Parker, Maryland state liaison, and their team for a great event!
